Privacy Policy

What this website collects, why, who else can see it, and how to have it deleted. Plain language, no legal boilerplate.

Effective September 17, 2026. This policy covers the website at mnbookkeepingguys.com. It does not cover the handling of client financial records, which is governed by your engagement agreement.

The short version

This is a small brochure website for a small business. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising trackers and has no analytics installed. The only personal information it collects is what you deliberately type into the contact form or send by email, and that is used to reply to you. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and optionally your business name, phone number, the service you selected and whatever you write in the message box. Name and email are required so we can reply; everything else is optional. If you email or call instead, we have whatever you choose to tell us.

Information collected automatically. Like every website, this one is served by a host that keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address of the device requesting a page, the page requested and the time. We do not have access to those logs, do not analyse them and cannot use them to identify you.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, to have the conversation that follows, and to keep a record of it. That is the whole list. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not run email marketing campaigns off this form, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

Who else can see it

Three third parties are involved in running this website. None of them are given your information to use for their own marketing.

  • FormSubmit processes contact form submissions and relays them to our inbox. The information in your message passes through their service on the way to us.
  • GitHub Pages hosts the website. GitHub, Inc. operates the servers that deliver these pages and keeps the standard server logs described above.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typeface. Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. No cookie is set by this.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, which has not happened and we do not expect it to.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails stay in our inbox for as long as they are useful — to answer you, and to have a record of the conversation if you come back later. There is no automatic deletion schedule. If you would rather we did not keep yours, ask and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Info@MNBookkeepingGuy.com or call 651-757-0515 and we will handle it. You do not have to give a reason.

You can also simply not use the contact form — the phone number and email address are on the contact page if you would rather reach us directly.

Children

This website is for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or who processes it changes, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly swapped in.

Common questions

Questions about privacy

Do you use cookies?

No. This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no advertising pixel, no tracking script and no analytics tool running on it today. If that changes, this page will be updated first and will say so plainly.

Is my enquiry confidential?

Yes. What you send through the contact form or by email goes to Paul and is used to answer you. It is not sold, rented or shared for marketing, and it is not passed to anyone outside the service providers named above, unless the law requires it.

How do I get my information deleted?

Email Info@MNBookkeepingGuy.com and ask. There is no form and no waiting period beyond the time it takes to find and remove the message.

Does this cover my books once I'm a client?

No. This page is about the website. Once you engage MN Bookkeeping Guy, your financial records are governed by the engagement agreement you sign, and by the terms of the accounting platforms your books live in, such as QuickBooks.

Questions about any of this?

Ask — we would rather explain it than have you wonder.
